Adrian Black Obituary

Adrian Keith Black, 66, of Arden passed away on April 21, 2018 at Blue Ridge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Hendersonville, NC. He was born on October 25, 1951 in Buncombe County to Joe Earl Black and Lois Myree Shook Black. In addition to his father, Keith is preceded in death by his stepfather, Leonard Ponder. He graduated from T.C. Roberson High School and North Carolina State University with degrees in Chemical Engineering and Wood and Pulp.  Keith retired from Champion Paper Mill and enjoyed Bible study at Arden First Baptist and Lake Hills Church. He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and loved spending time with his family. Keith is survived by his wife of 38 years, Barbara Wilkie Black; daughters, Lindsay Hunt (Jesse) of Cameron, NC and Lori Voss (Tyler) of Matthews, NC; mother, Lois Black of Fletcher, NC ; brother, Joel Kevin Black (Carlen Rushoff) of Silver Springs, MD; grandchildren, Ethan, William and Rachel Hunt and Noah, Ayla and Olivia Voss; 12 nieces and nephews and 7 great-grandchildren.

 A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 25 at 10 am at Arden First Baptist Church with Timothy Brown officiating. Family will receive friends following the service. In leiu of flowers, donations may be made to the ABCCM Veterans Restoration Quarters 20 Twentieth Street Asheville, NC 28806.
