Billie Sue Jarvis Black of Woodfin died December 2, 2017 at the Chase Samaritan Assisted Living in Asheville, at the age of 59.

Born in Bat Cave February 13, 1958, she was a daughter of the late William and Patricia Black. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her great-aunt, Nannie Bea Jarvis. Ms. Black was a graduate of Clyde A. Erwin High School.

Survivors include her daughters, Kitzi Black of Asheville, Jessica Anderson of Asheville, and Briana Black of Charlotte; and grandchildren, Azia Hemphill, Sydney Norton, Shi Peak, and Tierney Black all of Asheville.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
