Bruce was one of my favorite people in the neighborhood . I met Bruce and Nan shortly after we moved in and in those early days we got to see eachother on social occasions or at different neighborhood gatherings. More recently it was at different times of the day when I would see Bruce faithfully walking his dogs. Three times a day he was out there and I would usually shout a “hi Bruce” out of the window. Some days I would stop to chat and I remember how cheerful he always was! He was very positive and upbeat about everything and he always asked about my husband and children. Bruce also had a way of lifting my spirits when we would talk. I often went on my way thinking how I hoped that’s my attitude would be as pleasant and kind as his was when I was in my eighties! Bruce was a friend to me and I will miss seeing him,but I am so grateful that I got to know him and that he was my friend. May your memories help you find comfort for your loss. God bless your family in this difficult time.
