Carl William McKee, 88, of Hendersonville, formerly of Greenville, SC, passed away February 6, 2017.  Mr. McKee was born on July 10, 1928 in Asheville, NC.  He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty M. Dalton McKee. 

Mr. McKee was a US Army Veteran, receiving his Honorable Discharge in 1952.  He was a highly qualified carpenter, and held a career as the former Foreman at Merrel’s Construction in Greenville, SC.  He was a jack of all trades.  He was a very skilled mechanic and a shade tree inventor. He was an amazing and versatile musician, playing the banjo, guitar, mandolin, or just about anything he picked up.  Mr. McKee attended Patton Ave. Baptist Church.

            Mr. McKee is survived by his children, Jimmy L. McKee, Dorothy Pyland (Don), Ronnie L. McKee (Linda), Ronald C. McKee and Tommy E. McKee; grandchildren, Andrea, George, Crystal and Tracy as well as several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

            The family will hold a private service at a later date.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to FourSeasons Hospice.
