Christine Alice McCurry Asheville

Christine Alice McCurry, 83, of Asheville, passed away on April 27, 2017. A native of Buncombe County, she was the daughter of the late James Ralph and Agnes Leona Clark Elkins. She worked at T.C. Smith Company and was a member of the VFW, Moose Lodge, and American Legion. She is preceded in death by her husband, George McCurry; son, Maurice Elkins; sister, Mary Sluder; and brother, Eddie Elkins. She is survived by her loving daughters, Marcia Elkins of Arden; Tina Viveros of Asheville; sister, Joann Banks of Asheville; brothers, Robert Elkins of Pompano Beach, FL; James "Bud" Elkins Jr. of Hahira, Ga; grandchildren, James, Rachel, Michael and Crystal Elkins, Kristie, Jessica, and Salina Viveros; six great- grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at 2:00 PM at the Western Carolina Veterans Cemetery in Black Mountain.
