Frank Gerald Montoya, 59, of Asheville passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017. Born on March 5, 1958 in Miami-Dade County, FL, he was a son of Maria Montoya Shouldice of Franklin and the late Frank Raymond Montoya. He was a graduate of Christopher Columbus H.S. in Miami, FL, and was employed by Wal-Mart of Asheville. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Lucille Rothstein. Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Carol Rothstein Montoya; siblings, Raymond V. Montoya and his wife, Amanda, and Anthony J. Montoya all of Franklin; sister-in-law, Karen Patlak of Micco, FL; father-in-law, Mortimer Rothstein of Micco, FL, and several nieces and nephews.
