Jean Turner Holden of Taylors, SC, passed away Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Four Seasons Elizabeth House in Flat Rock, NC at the age of 77.

A native of Travelers Rest, SC, Mrs. Holden was born August 14, 1939 to the late Buford Turner (1967) and Ruth Turner (2015). She was a graduate of Paris High School. She worked for Sherwin Williams as a designer and decorator. Mrs Holden volunteered as a church greeter, was a basketball coach, and a member of the chamber choir. She was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband of 56 years, George Taylor Holden; children, Todd Holden (Lori) of Wilmington, NC, and Joy Romano (Bill) of Saluda, NC; grandchildren, Vittoria Romano, Alexandria Romano, Zacc Romano, Emily Kouba, and Taylor Holden; great-granddaughter, Ava Holden;  children who were like her own, Danny Romano and Emanuel Montana; her best friend, Dottie Sloan; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, July 30 at 3:00 PM at Taylors First Baptist Church with Dr. Harley officiating. There will be a reception following the service.

The family extends a special thank you to the staff at Elizabeth House, Interim Hospice of Greenville, Dr. Wallace and staff at Milestone Family Medicine, and to Taylors First Baptist Church Sunday School Class, especially to George and Janice Rodger for all of their care and love.
