In her final two years, she enjoyed the freedom of the open road from behind the wheel of her RV. She grew deeply connected to the saguaro deserts of Arizona and roaming buffalo of Black Hills, SD.
Jeanene is survived by her sister, Judith Gravitt (Gary), of Surprise, AZ; her two children, Rachel Huehls (Jennifer Smith), of Asheville, NC, and Mitchum Huehls (Marissa López), of Los Angeles, CA; and her two grandchildren, Gibson and Oscar López de Huehls, of Los Angeles, CA. She is preceded in death by her parents and her nephew, John Koeniger (2010).
No services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please celebrate Jeanene’s life by donating to the Asheville Humane Society and remembering her playing her baby grand piano with a beaming smile on her face.
