Jeanleene Day Johnston, 65, of Ware Shoals, SC, passed away March 29, 2017 at Park Ridge Hospital in Hendersonville, NC.

Born on July 8, 1951 in Virginia Beach, VA. She led an exciting life. Not only was she a LPN II at Self Memorial in Greenwood, SC, she became a commercial truck driver later in life to travel the United States.

More recently she was enrolled in on-line classes to complete her bachelors degree. Not only was she diligent in her studies, she also achieved the Dean’s List every semester.

She loved great food, family, and shopping. She was always willing to help someone and put their needs before her own. Her greatest skill was to light up a room with just her smile.

She is survived by her only son, Paul Jason Hall and his wife, Terri Daughety Hall of Hendesonville, NC. Left to cherish her memories are her five siblings; Carol Strickland of Donalds, SC; Thadeus Strickland of Ware Shoals; Ricky Timms of Waterloo; Denise South of Ware Shoals; and Monteene Wrenn of Augusta, GA. Also surviving are her grandsons; Dustin Fredrick Daughety and his fiancée, Kayla Nicole Jones, Joshua Dillon Avery, Conner Jason Hall, Duncan Eugene Hall, and one granddaughter, Madison Lonelle Daughety, as well as one great granddaughter, Aubrey Avalynn Daughety. She leaves behind one uncle, Pete Madison of Ware Shoals, and several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
