John Edward Thomas died Monday, 1-9-17, at his residence, under home hospice.  He was 80 years old.   Mr. Thomas lived his life in Madison and Buncombe Counties.  He was a dedicated supervisor for Lincs, a subsidiary of Davison Homes, Inc., MOC, and the Unaka Center.  Holding memory of “Johnnie” are his siblings Ona Parks, of Hot Springs, Sam Thomas, of Hot Springs,  Betty Thomas of Asheville, Ora Thomas of Asheville, James Thomas of Laurens, South Carolina, and nephew Jim Hitt and wife Kathy of Transylvania County, NC.  He was in the care of Dawn Forrest and Roy Ewing.  Johnnie leaves behind many friends and givers of care.

John Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Bertha Maeola Beck and Alfred Thomas and his brothers, Roy and Troy and sisters Maryann, Rosie, Bertha, and Viola.

 John's love for flowers, his bling, and sweet smile lit up many days.  He radiated gentleness and was filled with grand humor.

Visitation and Service be will at Asheville Area Alternative. 702 Riverside Drive, Asheville, NC 28801  Visitation will held from 11:00 AM until 12:00 noon. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel.  Burial will be private.  Open House Luncheon to be served at his residence,
