Karl Nutter, 66, of Forest City, NC passed away on November 8, 2017 at the Charles George Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Asheville.

Karl was born February 21, 1951 to the late Robert and Dorothy Nutter in East Liverpool, Ohio. After High School, Karl joined the Navy and served on an Aircraft Carrier during The Vietnam War. Following the war, he was married to Julie R. Donath with whom he shared the remainder of his life. He was an avid horticulturalist who loved tending his garden and cultivating plant life. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Karl loved his family dearly and took great care of anyone that came into his life. He was delightfully entertaining man who loved to tell stories and jokes that kept everyone around him in good spirits.

He is survived by his spouse, his daughter Crystal Ballard, his sister Mary Green, his grandson Gavin Ballard, his Granddaughter Payton Ballard, and his son-in-law Jeff Ballard.
