Laura Lee Riddle Singleton, 64, of Canton passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospitals in Asheville, NC.  Born on January 7, 1953 in Asheville, she was a daughter of Edith Stiles Michael of Asheville and the late James McGilvery Riddle. She was a graduate of Asheville High School and received her certification as a nursing assistant from AB Tech.  She was previously employed by the Black Mountain Center until 2000 when she became disabled.  Some of her passions included: reading, crossword puzzles, Elvis, and animals especially dogs. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her spouse, Timothy Stiles Singleton.  Surviving are her children, Linda Singleton of Cullowhee, Judia Quinn and her spouse, Nathan, of Leicester, and Stiles Timothy Singleton and his spouse, Amber, of Leicester; siblings, Jimmy Riddle and spouse, Ruth of Lake Havasu, AZ, and Linda Riddle of Charlotte; grandchildren, Connor Quinn, Hunter Singleton, and Parker Quinn all of Leicester, and step-children, Jonathan Singleton and his spouse, Kim, of Ocoee, FL, and Jackie Fullbright and her spouse, Rickey, of Etowah.  A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Leicester Community Center (off of Newfound Road)
