She was an avid reader and supporter of the Novella Festival of Reading and Friends of the Library. Max enjoyed the Charlotte Symphony and supported them as a season ticket holder for many years. Her love of reading came in at a close second to using her ‘green thumb’, transforming her surroundings into a haven for flowers and birds.
