Michael Terry Pyle
May 20, 1938-April 9, 2017

Michael Terry Pyle, of Sapphire, NC passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2017 of cancer complications. 

Beloved by his numerous family and friends, his charisma, charm, compassion, wisdom and positive demeanor will be missed by so many.  A "larger than life" personality which will never be duplicated.  May he rest in peace.    

Although retired to the Sapphire, NC/Highlands region in recent years, Terry had served a successful career in the insurance/reinsurance industry.  Initially starting his career in the New York City metropolitan area, Terry moved on to become an executive with the Ormond Reinsurance Group, Ormond Beach, FL and eventually forming a highly successful reinsurance brokerage firm (Cypress Creek Reinsurance Intermediaries, Inc., Heathrow, FL) which continues to operate today.     

Terry is survived by his wife Ann, daughter(s) Laurie Pyle Barrett, Christine Pyle Phelps, Kim Pyle Brookfield, son Andrew Pyle, first wife Peggy Pyle, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and extended family members located throughout the Central Florida and North Carolina/Georgia region(s).
