Nancy Bartlett Stewart, 80, of Asheville went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at Asheland Ridge Health Center in Asheville. Born on July 16, 1937 in Charlotte, she was the daughter of the late David and Bertha Bartlett. She was a graduate of Oakley Elementary School class of 1955, and was a member of Gashes Creek Baptist Church. She was a talented chef who had written 10 cookbooks during her lifetime. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her spouse, Thomas C. Stewart and son, Douglas T. Stewart. Surviving are her daughter, Yvonne Short and her spouse, Wayne, of Asheville; brother, David Bartlett of Swannanoa; grandchildren, Krystle Short and Kristopher Short both of Asheville, a wonderful great granddaughter, Evyn Parker, and many loving nieces and nephews.
