Roslyn Lucia “Roz” Merk Bennett, 89, of Asheville passed away Sunday, March 25, 2018 at her residence.

Mrs. Bennett was born in Montreal, Quebec on September 8, 1928 to the late Jacob Merk and Lucia Masciadri Merk. She was married to her husband of sixty one years, Ronald Bennett. She was a homemaker who enjoyed history and philosophy. She was an excellent chef who enjoyed traveling abroad. Most of all, Roz loved her family who will always cherish her memory.

Survivors include her husband, Ron Bennett of Asheville; a son, Mark-Ellis Bennett of Asheville; a brother, Fred Merk and wife Karen of Montreal; and a granddaughter, Julie Milks and husband Ray of Indiana.
