Sharon Elizabeth Webb Carter, 67, of Candler, NC, passed away peacefully at her home on July 22, 2017 of cervical cancer while surrounded by her loving family. She was a graduate of Clyde A. Erwin H.S., class of 1967, and was employed by BASF for 24 years and by Queen Enterprises for 21 years. She was an accomplished artist, seamstress, and cook. She lived her life for her son, Danny, and his family. No one made her happier than her grandson, Alex. She is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Blanche Moore Webb, and William Howard Webb; brothers, Dale Webb, Cecil Webb, Ralph Webb and Neil Webb. Also, a sister, Jean Harris and nephew, Gary Stephen Parham. Surviving is her son, Danny Carter, and his wife Amber; grandson, Alex, all of Mills River; sisters, Joan McCurry, Sally (Gary) Morris, Lynn (Larry) Collins, and brother, Danny Webb. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and several great-nieces and great-nephews, an aunt, and many cousins. Also surviving is her long-time friend, Brenda Sanders Jones, and many other friends. The family would like to thank her nurse from CarePartners hospice, Nan, and CNA, Holly. She also had an exceptional hospice doctor. The family would also like to express their gratitude for the many cards, calls, visits, and kind thoughts that she received during her last months. At her request, a private memorial service is planned for a later date.
