Tonya M. Jones earned her angel wings on May 15, 2017, as she was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior. She passed away at Pardee Hospital surrounded by family and friends at the age of 43 after she wasn't able to recover from complications after going into cardiac arrest on May 3, 2017.

Tonya was born November 10, 1973 in Hendersonville, NC. She attended Hendersonville High School and later, went on to become a CNA for many years. She ended her working career as a manager for Burger King. Tonya enjoyed drawing, making people laugh, growing her nails and spending time with family and friends.

Tonya was preceded in death by her loving mother, Betty Jo Jones. Tonya was a loving mother, who is survived by her three children, Devon Gash of Hendersonville, NC, Jordan Gash of Asheville, NC, and Asia Gash of Forest City, NC; her brother, Steve Jones of Hendersonville, NC; her biological parents, Janet Davidson Clark and Steve Jones; her "furbaby," Ace; and many extended family and friends. Even though she only had three children, she mothered many others that she called her own.

A celebration of life will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 1:00 PM at the East Flat Rock Baptist Church, 2227 Spartanburg Hwy., East Flat Rock, NC 28726. Tonya’s cousin, Brian Caudle, will be officiating.
