William David Riddle, 71, of Fletcher, passed away on January 3, 2017. He was born in Henderson County to Eileen and Curtis Riddle on May 14, 1946. William loved farming, spending time with his family, driving trucks and keeping his yard perfectly mowed. William was known for his wonderful sense of humor and “shopping” excursions.

In addition to his parents, William is preceded in death by his sister; Jolene Riddle and brother; Pete Riddle.

He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Sharon Riddle of Fletcher, NC; daughters; Tonia (Jack) McCurry of Candler, NC; Tammy (Brian) Stanford of Hendersonville, NC; step-sons, Scott (Missy) Chrisman of Brevard, NC; Shane Chrisman of Marion, NC; his grandchildren, Clayton McCurry, Destini Stanford, Colby Chrisman and Cassie Chrisman. William also leaves behind his sister, Rhea (Burl) Lance of Fletcher, NC; and a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and caregivers that will miss him so much.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks and their appreciation to the staff at Black Mountain Neurology Center for all of their love, wonderful care and compassion.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Thursday, January 11, 2018 at the Black Mountain Center.
