Anne Maxwell Myers, 94, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2024. She was born on May 12, 1929 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Cecil Vernon Maxwell and Lois Virginia Toney Maxwell. She was the oldest of seven siblings. Anne attended Marshall University and was an avid reader throughout her life. In 1960 she moved to Colonial Williamsburg where she worked in the archivist department for over 20 years and lived in the Historic District. She married the love of her life, Harry Myers in 1979 and returned to Huntington, West Virginia where they had dated in college. They resided in Huntington until Harry retired, then moved to Hayward Knolls in Hendersonville where they were active parishoners at First United Methodist Church. She will always be remembered as loving, kind and generous spirit.
Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, her parents and siblings Gary Maxwell, James Maxwell, Michael Maxwell, Nancy Scarberry Maxwell, Becky Lewis and Cecelia Barnes, and her grandmother, Ada Trimmer Toney.
Anne is survived by her daughter-in-law Jane Myers and grandchildren Alexander Myers and Katherine Myers.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 10,2024 at 11:00 a.m. at First United Methodist Church, 204 6th Ave. West, Hendersonville, NC 28739.
