Charles Edward Clark

Charles Edward Clark, age 86, of Weaverville, NC passed away on April 8, 2024.  Charles was born in Asheville, NC on July 18, 1937 to Fred and Fannie B. Clark.  Charles was a graduate of Asheville High School and went on to college to receive additional credits.  During Charles’ life he was a car salesman at Matthews Ford and he also worked for Mars Corporation in Sales and Services.  Charles was a member of First Baptist Church of Weaverville.  He loved to do wood working, searching family history, writing books, and telling jokes.

Charles is preceded in death by his brother, David Randall Clark.  He is survived by his children, Sharon Diane Stephenson, of Asheville, NC, and Brenda Clark Rice, of Asheville, NC; his sister, Freda Glenn, of Weaverville, NC; his grandchildren, Sharon Brandy Burcham, of Fairview, NC and Ashley Michelle Gunter­, of Woodfin, NC; and his 4 great-grandchildren, Zane, Zoey, Kyson, and Alix.  Charles is also survived by Heidi and Reggie Ray, of Weaverville, NC, and his dear friend, Mary Ann Roberts.

A private family memorial service will be announced at a later date.  The family requests instead of flowers, to make a small contribution to a charity of their choice in Mr. Clark’s name.
