Ann Kelly Friedrichs

Ann Kelly Friedrichs, 78, a longtime resident of Lutheridge in Arden, North Carolina, entered the Church Triumphant Tuesday evening.

Ann was born April 7, 1940, in Atlanta, Georgia, a proud member of the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer on Peachtree Street, where she sang in the choir. She attended Georgia State University. She was also a member of the Atlanta Choral Society. She lived in Athens, Georgia, for thirty years where she raised her family, was a member of the Athens Choral Society, and Holy Cross Lutheran Church. There she also sang in the church choir and served as parish secretary for a number of years.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Fred, of Arden, her son the Rev. Eric Friedrichs (Tara), of Tampa, Florida, her daughter Kelly Friedrichs Valldeperas (Dan), of Cumming, Georgia, her grandchildren Emily Friedrichs, Jordan Friedrichs, Alexis Valldeperas, Sister-in-law Ursula Wells (Wayne), of Moncks Corner, South Carolina, and extended family Ulrich Stahl and Sibylle Stahl of Lower Saxony, Germany.

She was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Nativity in Arden, where she had been a member of the choir and served on Congregational Council.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, at Lutheran Church of the Nativity with the Rev. Dr. Mark Fitzsimmons presiding and retired Bishop David Donges participating in the service. A reception will be held following the service in the Fellowship Hall.

The family is grateful for the extensive and compassionate care provided by Universal Healthcare of Fletcher, and Four Seasons Hospice of Hendersonville.
