Anthony "Tony" Johannes Pelser

Anthony Johannes “Tony” Pelser, 91, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2019 at his home in Hendersonville, NC.

Tony was born February 5, 1928 to Marie Pelzers nee Merklebach and Johannes Pelzers in the town of Limbricht in The Netherlands.

Tony was an automotive engineer who worked for AM general, LTV Aerospace, and Elgin Sweepers during his career.

Tony was a member of the French Club of Hendersonville and traveled all over the world during his lifetime. He was a classical music and stereo enthusiast, an avid reader, a crossword solver, a flea market shopper, a tinkerer, handyman, and a lover of culture and language. Tony spoke and read Dutch, English, French, German and Spanish fluently.

He is preceded in death by his parents as well as his brother, Joseph “Joep” Pelzers.

Tony is survived by his wife of 64 years, Cecilia Pelser nee Wrobel; his daughters Marie-Monique Patzelt (Michael) of LaGrange, IL and Barbara Anna Pelser of Hollywood, FL; and grandchild Kevin Patzelt of Westmont, IL.

A private memorial service will be held in the future.
