Aretta Ruff Obituary

Carrie Aretta Masters Ruff, 98, passed away on May 9, 2018, at Kingsbridge House in Brevard, North Carolina. Aretta was a lifelong resident of Henderson and Transylvania counties, where she received her grammar school education. She is predeceased by her husband, Amos, her son, Arthur Ruff, and three of her grandchildren.

Aretta was the proud matriarch of a large family. Her son, Ernest, has 6 children; her daughter, Esther Roftbourgh of Ocalla, FL, has 3 children; one son and two daughters. Her daughter-in-law Wilma Ruff, wife of Arthur, resides in Brevard and has one son. Her son Lee Ruff and his wife, Jenny, reside in Etowah and have two sons. Aretta will also live on in the hearts of her 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial will be held at Sileca Worship Center on Saturday, May 19 at 2pm. Don Johnson will be officiating.
