Boyd Greathouse Obituary

Boyd Virgil Greathouse, 68, of Asheville, NC, passed away September 20, 2019 at the Charles George VA Medical Center Valor Hospice.

Boyd was born January 25, 1951 in West Virginia to Charles Franklin Greathouse and Helen Lorraine Cooper Greathouse. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and served during wartime in Vietnam. Boyd was a man who never met a stranger. He enjoyed working on cars and dearly loved his cat, Mittens.

He is preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Jo Anne Greathouse.

He is survived by his daughter Tiffany Ownbey (Chad) of Fairiew, NC; nieces Rachel Lorraine Greathouse of Canton, OH and Sheila Yvonne Wright of Columbus, OH; great-nephews Roman Dimitri Michael Datewoon and Brenden “Bear” Paul Datewoon of Canton, OH; as well as all his friends and family at the Charles George VA Medical Center of Asheville, NC.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
