Carolyn Linda Hunsinger Bishop, 68, of Asheville, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2018 at the John F. Keever, Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.

     Carolyn was born in Asheville, North Carolina on March 16, 1949 to the late Paul Everett Hunsinger and Vernise McFarland. She was married to the late Larry Bishop. In leisure, Carolyn enjoyed cooking and loved to fish. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

     In addition to her husband and parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her daughter, Angie Carithers.

     Survivors include a brother, Bruce Hunsinger and wife Paula of Swannanoa; a sister, Deby Ward and husband Brian of Swannanoa; a grandson, Justin Carithers and wife Rhiannon of Waynesville; a granddaughter, Katlin Carithers of Mills River; and two great grandsons, Ryan and Nicholas.

     In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held. Asheville Mortuary Services is honored to serve the family.
