Charles, me and two others from the Hickory/Vale area used to ride home together on weekends while we were stationed at Fort Benning, GA and Charles always kept up our spirits with his ability to make us laugh. I lost contact with him in 1971 but I will always remember his face, laughter and friendship during those days of the Army.
To his family, I wish you all the best as you adjust to life with his absence and know that he was a blessing to so many others along life's path and may God be with you during this difficult time. Robie
