Charles Ronald Singleton (“Ronnie”), age 69 of Pisgah Forest, NC, passed away February 18, 2019.
Ronnie was born on April 28, 1949 in Fulton County, GA to the late Earl and Lucille Singleton. He was a retired HVAC technician, working for Dekalb County Board of Education for over 30 years. He also split and sold firewood in the metropolitan Atlanta area for many years. Despite being born with a disabling birth injury, he was an incredibly hard worker; he exemplified perseverance, humility, and kindness.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Singleton Ellenburg, who died in January 2004. He is survived by his wife of almost 45 years, Wanda Holcombe Singleton of Pisgah Forest, NC; daughter, Shannon Singleton Niven of Pisgah Forest NC; grandchildren Morgan Singleton and Chandler Niven of Pisgah Forest, NC; son, Charles Clay Singleton and grandson, Hunter Singleton of Monroe, GA.
He is survived by four siblings, Martha Hardeman, Earline Caudell, Sara Hinton, and Roger Singleton. He was preceded in death recently by his brother, William Singleton.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday February 23, 2019 at Lighthouse World Outreach Center located at 609 Gene Bell Rd Monroe, Ga. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM with the service immediately following.
