Dennis Wayne “Denny” Lee, a resident of Hendersonville for 13 years, died November 29, 2017 at Margaret R. Pardee Memorial Hospital in Hendersonville at the age of 62.

A native of Albert Lea, MN, Denny was born June 26, 1955 to Wayne A. Lee of Mankato, MN, and the late Patricia L. Lee, nee Cassel. In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by a brother, Paul B. Lee , nephew Bruce Lee, nephew Christopher Summerville.

Denny loved playing guitar for his family and friends, and in the several bands he had been a part of. Camping, hiking, cutting wood for the wood stove, being outside, and adventuring with his wife and dogs, were among the things he enjoyed most. Denny loved life, family, friends, and above all, his Lord and Savior, shining His light daily. He was a member of the Living Savior Lutheran Church in Asheville.

Survivors include his wife of 21 years, Susan “Sue” Jane Althoff of the home; sisters, Jan Summerville of Hendersonville, and Shawn Kurtzahn (Martin) of Snoqualmie, WA; brother, Marty Lee and his friend, Mary Holcomb, of N. Mankato, MN; three nieces, three nephews, and a great-niece.

A memorial service is planned for 11:00 AM January 6, 2018 at Living Savior Lutheran Church, 301 Overlook Road, Asheville, NC 28803.
