Donald Eugene Moore

Donald Eugene Moore, 88, of Etowah, N.C. died peacefully on February 2nd, 2018 at the Elizabeth house in Hendersonville, N.C.

Don was born in Youngstown, Ohio to George and Dorothy Moore and is survived by his wife of 68 years Mary Ann Moore, son Gary Moore (Judy) of Largo, Fl., daughter Donna McLean of Raleigh, N.C., and daughter Peggy White (Ron) of Lexington, Kentucky. Don leaves behind six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Don graduated from Stivers high school in Dayton, Ohio and worked as sales representative for Beech-Nut/Lifesavers and later on Eureka vacuum cleaners. Don and Mary Ann resided in Dayton for over forty years before relocating to North Carolina where he worked part time at Hertz car rental at the Asheville airport for over fifteen years. Don and Mary Ann enjoyed golfing and hiking, but his true passions were bike riding, music, and chili dogs.

A celebration of life service and biking event will be held in Loveland, Ohio on August 18, 2018. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Seasons Elizabeth House, Hendersonville or Rails to Trails Conservancy, 2121 Ward Ct NW, Washington, D.C. 20037-1213.
