Dwight Rigsby Obituary

Dwight Charles Rigsby, 57, of Brevard, NC, passed away on July 10, 2019 at Transylvania Regional Hospital.

Dwight was born October 6, 1961 to Charles Edward Rigsby and Rosalee Owen Rigsby. He attended Rosman Sr. High School, graduating Class of 1981.

He was employed by the Burlinggame Property Owners Association and a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church in Lake Toxaway. He was a member of the Lake Toxaway Volunteer Fire and Rescue, working as a volunteer firefighter for 38 years.

Dwight is survived by his wife Teresa Hughey Rigsby; father Charles Edward Rigsby; sister Teresa Ann Rigsby Owen (Leeman) of Lake Toxaway; brother Nathaniel Houston Rigsby (Kimberly) of Seneca, SC; step-daughters Cindy Zaludek (Dwane) of Brevard, NC and Misty Inman of Mississippi; step-son Jeff Kilpatrick (Jennifer) of Asheville, NC; neice Kayla Khoury (Adam) of Lake Toxaway, NC; and nephew Derrick Owen (Lindsey) of Lake Toxaway, NC.

A service will be held on Saturday July 13, 2019 at 2PM at the Lake Toxaway Fire and Rescue with visitation to follow. Reverend Tommy Mullis will be officiating.
