Elaine M. Arnold

     Elaine M. Arnold, 73, of Hendersonville, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Mission Memorial Hospital in Asheville.

     Elaine was born in Ballston Spa, New York, on August 6, 1945, to the late William Danopuk and Della Porter. She graduated from Ballston Spa High School with the class of 1964. She was married to her husband of forty-one years, James C. Arnold. Elaine was a custodian with the Ballston Spa Central Schools, with whom she retired after thirty years of service. She was baptized on August 16, 1969. She studied and dedicated her life as a Jehovah’s Witness and was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Howard Gap Road in Hendersonville. She enjoyed gardening and was enamored with the Biltmore Estate in Asheville. She loved spending time with her friends and family and enjoyed sharing her faith with her neighbors.

      In addition to her parents, Elaine was preceded in death by her step father, George “Ed” Porter; and two sisters, Yvonne Wilson and Valicia Porter.

     Survivors include her husband, James Arnold of Hendersonville; a daughter, Alicia Stanley and husband Steven of Conway, SC; two sisters, Sylvia Porter of West Milton, NY and Daisy Connor and husband Kevin of Elizabethtown, PA; two brothers, Earl Porter of Porters Corners, NY and Leslie Porter; and several nieces and nephews.

     A funeral discourse will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2019 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2374 Howard Gap Road, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
