Andrews - Fannie Pearl Russell, of Andrews, North Carolina died peacefully at home on April 28, 2017 after an extended illness.

Ms. Russell was born April 1, 1934 in Unadilla, Georgia to Howard and Esther Williams. She was married to Walter Russell, Sr. until his death in 2000.  She enjoyed a long career of nursing and retired after 40 years. In 2008 she moved from Jersey, City, NJ to live with her granddaughter, Carmela Henry, in Andrews, NC. 

Aside from her career, she enjoyed many hobbies including reading, sewing, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Among her greatest joys was dedicating her life and being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and spending time in the ministry where she shared with people her Bible-based hope, and God’s sure promise of everlasting life in perfect health on a paradise earth soon to come. 

Ms. Russell is survived by her 3 children, 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 3 siblings, and a host of nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 1:30 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses located at 500 Maltby Road in Marble, North Carolina.
