Irma Janice Griffin Taylor, 75, of Marshall, North Carolina, passed away Thursday, August 29, 2019, at her residence.
Mrs. Taylor was born in Buncombe County, NC on May 24, 1944 to the late Herbert Washington Griffin and Jessie Mae Gill Griffin. She was married to her husband of fifty nine years, Weldon Taylor. She was a seamstress with the Vanderbilt Shirt Company. She enjoyed sewing and shopping, but most of all, she loved her family. She will be greatly missed.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Weldon Taylor of Marshall; a daughter, Teresa Arlene Taylor Koon and husband David of Kure Beach, NC; two sons, Weldon Allen Taylor of Marshall and Gary Ross Taylor and wife Donna of Leicester, NC; three sisters, Kathy Redmon and husband Dan of Fletcher, NC, Paulette Fox of Asheville, and Treaser Ingle of Asheville; a brother, Frank Griffin and wife Lorretta of Asheville; four grandchildren, Matthew Mathis and wife Terrie, Rickie Mathis and wife Kaley, Casey Taylor, and Brandi Taylor; and seven great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Morgan Hill Baptist Church in Barnardsville.
