James 'Jim' Bashista, 48, of Asheville, North Carolina passed away on August 12, 2018. He was born on February 27, 1970 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Dianna L. Montgomery. Jim is preceded in death by his father, Edward Bashista. Jim was a professional drywaller for the Union for 20 years. He loved riding motorcycles and fishing. Jim never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone. He is survived by his children, Brandon Bashista of Asheville, North Carolina, Kayla Dandoy of Asheville, North Carolina, and Levi Bashista; brothers, Alan Gerber (Dawana) of Darlington, Pennsylvania and Jacob Montgomery (Lacey) of Dubois, Pennsylvania; and grandson, Mylo Bashista of Asheville, North Carolina.
A Memorial Ride will be held in his honor on Saturday, August 25, meeting at 9:30 Am at the Discount Shoes parking lot on Brevard Road. A Memorial Service and Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 26 at 3:00 PM at a location to be announced later.
