Jerry Eugene Roark, 71, passed away on October 11, 2019 at his home in Henderson Co., NC.
Jerry was born May 10, 1948 in Ashe Co., NC to Clayborn Eugene Roark and Opal Lawrence Roark. He attended Wilkes Community College and served in the United States Army during Vietnam. During his life he worked as an electrical contractor after retiring from the NC Highway Patrol.
Jerry was an enthusiastic witness of Jehovah and a member of the Mills River congregation. He was a hardworking provider, a master fisherman, and a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Debbie Dishmon Roark; daughter Kimberly Young of Hendersonville, NC; son David Eugene Roark of Horse Shoe, NC; brothers Mike Roark and wife Martha of Lincolnton, NC and Rex Roark and wife Sheila of Creston, NC; and grandson Parker David Young of Horse Shoe, NC.
A service will be held Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 2:00PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, located at 2184 Jeffress Road, Mills River, NC 28759. Jamin Kilpatrick will be presiding.
