Julius Reginald McCarson

     Julius Reginald “Reggie” McCarson, 59, of Hendersonville, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Elizabeth House in Flat Rock.

     Reggie was born in Hendersonville, North Carolina on July 1, 1958 to the late Mack and Sue McCarson. He was married to his wife of 37 years, Mildred Lance McCarson. Reggie was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Etowah and was a drywall contractor with Brogden Drywall, where he worked for 30 years. He was dedicated to his job and took great pride in his work. Reggie was a motorcycle enthusiast and was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing and camping, but most of all, he loved his children and was devoted to his family.

     In addition to his parents, Reggie was preceded in death by a brother, Vance McCarson; and a sister, Carolyn McCarson.

     Survivors include his wife, Mildred McCarson; two daughters, Megan and Lydia McCarson; a sister, LeFaye Baker; three brothers, Charles McCarson, Mack McCarson, Jr. and wife Nancy, and Lee McCarson, all of Hendersonville; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

     A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Mill Pond Cemetery with Rev. Tommy Hart officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
