Kimberly Dawn Penland

Kimberly Dawn Ballard Penland, 52, of Weaverville, North Carolina, passed away Saturday, August 3, 2019, at the John F. Keever Jr. Solace Center in Asheville.

     Kimberly was born on July 18, 1967, to the late Richard David Ballard and Carolyn Joann Craig Ballard. She was married to her husband of thirty-four years, Randall William Penland. Kimberly dedicated eighteen years of service to Applebee’s and was a member of Carolina Baptist Tabernacle. Most of all, she loved her family. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed.

     Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Randall of Weaverville; a daughter Jessica (Clifton Meade) of Marshall; two sons, Joshua (Brittney) of Leicester and Christian of Weaverville; a sister, Shelia McKinney (Robin) of Erwin, TN; a brother, Timothy Brigmon of Weaverville; two granddaughters, Caitlin and Madison; and a grandson, Tanner, all of Marshall; two sisters in law, Rhonda and Regina and their spouses; three brothers in law, Darell, Dewayne, and Darrin and their spouses; and many nieces and nephews.

     A memorial service will be held at 10:00 AM, on Saturday, August 17th, 2019, at Inanda Baptist Church in Asheville. Pastors Caleb Curtis and Lanny Cobb will officiate.
