Kiwanna Gerringer Fox, 70 of Black Mountain, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 4,
2019, at the CarePartners Hospice Solace Center.
A native of Buncombe Co., she was a daughter of the late Wallace and Althea Gerringer. She
was also preceded in death by brothers, Joseph Gerringer, Freddie Gerringer and sister, Ruby
Thievin.
She is survived by her son, daughter-in-law, and grandson; Shayne, Jennifer, and Tyler Fox
from Greenville, TN; sisters, Kaye Hanes of Winston Salem, NC and Kathy Burleson of
Morganton, NC; as well as several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at Bee Tree Missionary
Baptist Church, 20 Long Branch Rd, Swannanoa, NC, where she has been a longtime member.
Pastors Jeff Tomberlin and Larry Carver, will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1:00
to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church, prior to the service.
The family extends special thanks to the medical staff of Mission Cancer Care and CarePartners
Hospice Solace Center for their caring support during Kiwanna’s extended illness.
