Laura Louise Lewis Rollins, 56, of Murphy passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 6, 2017 at her home. She was born on December 3, 1960 in Illinois, and was the youngest of eight children. She proudly served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a nurse in her civilian life. Laura was a member of Shepherd of the Mountain Church and enjoyed baking and cooking, hunting, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are her devoted spouse, Dusty Lynn Rollins; daughter, Amanda Tucker of Dallas, TX; son, Jerry Covington of Norfolk, VA; step-daughter, Terrah Linden of Mauldin, SC; step-sons, Joshua Rollins of Spartanburg, SC, and Nathan James of Orlando, FL, and grandchildren, Blain Valdez, Rylin, Corrine, and Lauryn Tucker, Wyatt Linden, Sebastian, Chloe, Sarrah, Andrew, and Halie Rollins. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
