Linda Karen Ellis Campbell, 75, of Candler, North Carolina passed away at home on January 23, 2019.
Linda was born September 6, 1943 in Mitchell County, North Carolina to Albert Ellis and Irene Hall Ellis, both of whom precede her in death.
Linda’s first and foremost passion was her family, of whom she was endlessly proud. She was also an avid crafter, enjoying sewing and crochet, as well as reading, cooking, and traveling. She was also a member of the Ridgeway Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Paul Campbell Jr; sons Randall Campbell (Tonya) of Townsend, TN and James Campbell (Elise) of Greeneville, TN; daughter Nancy Hunt of Black Mountain, NC; brothers Kenneth Ellis (Geraldine) of Bakersville, NC, Richard Ellis(Pat) of Lacey, WA, and Eddie Ellis (Celia) of Denver, NC; sister Margret Bowman (Wade) of Marion, NC; aunt Betty Broadway of Spruce Pine, NC; grandchildren Trever, Christopher and Sydney Hunt of Black Mountain, NC, Heather Campbell of N Hollywood, CA, Jesse Clements of Fort Worth, TX, Jay Clemets of Clayburn, TX, Tiffany Lyle of Farmington, NM, Angela Gafner of Asheville, NC, and Ed Novak of Kissimee, FL; as well as numerous cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. Pastor Collins of Ridgeway Baptist will announce the time and date for the memorial to be held in Candler, NC. Pastor William Ellis will announce the time and date for the service to be held in Spruce Pine, NC.
