Lorie Kay (Garrick) Moody Rice

     Lorie Kay Garrick Moody Rice, born November 24,1964 in Avon Park, Florida, passed away January 28 after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

     Lorie is survived by her son, Dylan Moody; her father, Pastor George Garrick (Charlotte); mother, Hazel Garrick, Sdao, Blazer (Kenneth); sister Vickie Clay Klumb (Steve); nephew, Sheflon Clay; and two step-sisters, Paula Howerton, and Renata Ballard. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Lorie leaves behind a multitude of friends whom she loved and cherished. She was employed by CarePartners of Asheville.

     In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the building fund of Asheville North Seventh-Day Adventist Church or to CarePartners Hospice.

     A memorial service will be held at 4:00 pm, Sunday, February 17, 2019, at Asheville North Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 364 Broadway St. Asheville, NC 28801. The family will receive friends from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm, prior to the service, at the Church.  www.ashevillemortuaryservices.com
