Mary Ann and family,
Thanks to the internet I found Mary’s Kate’s obit. I think of her often and am so grateful for the time I got to sit beside her everyday at Save. She was a jewel and one of my fave people ever! I know this is a couple of years late, but please know how much your mom was adored and loved! She and Zeb were good people and I am so glad I had the time I did working with her. Hope you remember me! 😁

I would like to share with Kate's family that she was universally loved and respected by all Save the children employees. She was a person of great compassion, integrity and warmth. May her soul rest in Peace.

PS: I hope you will also see the outpouring of warm remarks being made at Save Face book page

Please accept my deepest condolences at Kate's loss. May she rest in peace and light. Kate was the first person I met when I went to Save the Children for an interview. With her smile and warmth she immediately made me want the job even before I knew anything about it. For someone who had immigrated to the US two months before as a bride, and having no clue what kind of a job I could be qualified for, Kate made me feel not just welcomed but like someone who had a lot to offer to Save. Through out the years every day I walked into the Westport office and saw Kate she made the day special, filled with sunshine despite the weather outside. And whenever I called from overseas and heard her wonderful southern accent I would immediately feel taken care of and surrounded by her warmth and love, and knew everything would be just fine. And it wasn't just me. Everyone who knew Kate felt the same, she took care of everyone and made them feel like a very special person. The day Kate retired was one of the saddest days at Save the Children. She was a ledgend and an angel. She is now with other angels. All of us who have been touched by Kate will always cherish our memories of her.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write such a wonderful tribute to Mom. Your words have touched my whole family's hearts. She truly loved each and everyone of you. Mom always said she never had a bad day whenever she was at work. As memories faded, she never forgot Save The Children and would look for the door to Mr. Guyer's office. Thank you again. Mary Ann
