Octavia (Tav) McMillan Chalk, age 61, a lifelong resident of Asheville, NC, died Thursday afternoon August 2nd.
Octavia was born on November 7, 1956 in Asheville, NC to the late Samuel and Octavia McMillan and was the youngest of 9 children. Surviving are her children Nasha McMillan, Don Samuel McMillan, Mishaunta McMillan, Hendric McMillan, Daniel McMillan, (Susan), Genae McMillan, Adrian McMillan, Mishayla Harwood (Wayne); brother, Samuel McMillan; sisters Tecora Leake, Geneva McMillan, Emma McMillan, and Mary Ann McMillan; 16 grandchildren and a number of nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 25 Forest Lake Drive, Asheville, NC on Tuesday, August 7th, at 4 pm.
