Ray R. Pringle, age 34, died unexpectedly at home Friday, March 28, 2014. He was born in Rhinelander, WI to Dave & Sue Pringle now of Mars Hill, NC. In November 1999 Ray met the love of his life, Laura M. Raasch and on February 2, 2002 they were married at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Merrill, WI. For the past 12 years they have made their home together in Mars Hill, NC.


Ray enjoyed working on many major electrical projects on construction sites in the Asheville area for the last 12 years. He also enjoyed spending time and joking with family and friends, playing cards and dominoes,putting together puzzles with his wife, working with anything electronic, fishing, trips to the beach in Florida & trips to Wisconsin, and making sugar cookies for his honey. Ray discovered the joy that being a loving father could bring when his beautiful baby boy, Vincent, was born May 14, 2013. He was a wonderful and attentive father; supportive, patient and loyal husband; thoughtful son; and great friend and co-worker. Ray took his job as a father very seriously, and looked forward to teaching Vincent many things, including how to fish.


Ray is survived by his faithful wife Laura, baby son Vincent, parents Dave and Sue Pringle of Mars Hill, NC; in-laws Claude and Rebecca Raasch of Merrill, WI; as well as many aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins.


A visitation and memorial services will be held Saturday April 5, 2014 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses 175 Woods Ammons Road, Mars Hill, NC 28754. Visitation will start at 4pm and go until the time of memorial service at 6pm with Jeff Brick officiating.
