Richard David "Dickie" Gallagher, 69, of Candler passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at the John F. Keever Jr., Solace Center in Asheville. Born on June 21, 1948 in Metheun, MA, he was a son of the late Joseph J. Gallagher and Dorothy Houle Gallagher. In addition to his parents, his was preceded in death by five siblings. Richard was a "Jack of all trades" and enjoyed spending time working on his Ford Mustang. Surviving are his children, Kristen Clayton and her spouse, John Clayton, of Candler, NC, and Richard Gallagher Jr. of Massachusetts; grandchildren, Shane Delahoz, Krysi Jo Arrowood, Greg, Ashley, and Joey Clayton; great grandchildren, Taylor, Christopher, and Xander Delahoz, Chloe Arrowood, and Jeremiah Clayton, and his faithful canine companion, Barley. No services will be held at this time.
