Richard 'Rick' St. Charles Irland, 50, of Henderson County passed away on February 28, 2018 at Park Ridge Hospital. He was born on January 2, 1968 in Waterloo, Seneca County New York to Richard Lewis Irland and Barbara Lamphear Irland. In addition to his parents, Rick is preceded in death by his son, Sean Irland. He worked for Alpha and Omega Transportation and was affiliated with the Catholic church.

Rick loved his family. He enjoyed outdoor activities. Rick loved adventure. Nascar was his favorite. His granddaughters made him laugh and be happy. Rick is his wife's heart and soul. He worked hard for his family, and always made people smile. Rick and his wife Robin Denise Smith Irland were married for 19 1/2 years, together for 25 years.  In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Bobby Hollifield (Keisha) of Mills River, NC; sisters, Pegi Buck (Brian) of Waterloo, NY and Christine Lanning (Steve) of Pisgah Forest, NC; granddaughters Caitlyn and Hailey Hollifield of Mills River, NC; four nieces; three nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; and a dog named Harley.

A small memorial will be held on Monday, March 5, 2018 at 6:00PM at New Creation Church, 500 7th Avenue East, Hendersonville, NC 28792.
