Roy Allen Duncan

     Roy Allen Duncan, age 83, a lifelong resident of Weaverville, North Carolina, went home with his Lord and Savior for Christmas.

     Roy was born October 9, 1936, to Lela Alfreda Deweese and Elzie Duncan.

     He served in the United States Air Force, and was a painter by trade. He retired from Lanter Paint Company. Roy was a member of Refuge Christian Center. He played high school football, was an avid hunter and fisherman, and an American patriot.

     He is preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother William “Tommy” Duncan.

     Roy is survived by his children, Kimberly Anderson (David) of Franklin, NC, and Allen Duncan of Los Gatos, California; his siblings, Marie Buckner of Asheville, Joe Duncan of Swanannoa, Linda Bowyer of Asheville and Norma Roberson of Marshall, NC; his grandchildren, Lindsay Duncan of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jonathan Miller of Portage, Indiana, Taylor McKenzie of Las Vegas, NV, and Breanne Valesques of Campbell, CA; and by several close nieces and nephews.

     A service will be held January 4, 2020, at 2 pm at the Refuge Christian Center. Reverends Mike McGuire and Ricky Sanford will officiate. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity or to the family for unexpected expenses.
