Ruth Adele (Miller) Behrens

Ruth Adele Behrens, age 90, passed Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at her home in Mills River, North Carolina.

Ruth was born July 12, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York, to Arthur & Adeline Miller. Ruth was active in her church, volunteered in her community and enjoyed spending time with her family and travelling. She retired from Proctor and Gamble, and moved to North Carolina in 1993.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, as well as her spouse, Carl Behrens, and a son, Robert “Bob” Marotta.

She is survived by her son, Christopher A. Behrens, and his wife, Katarina Behrens; her daughter-in-law, Deborah Marotta; her sister, Linda Schechter and brother-in-law Ty Schechter; grandchildren Robbie, Heather, Ryan, Corrine, Christopher, Breeanna, and Tasha; and thirteen great grandchildren.

I knew the day would come,

When we would have to say goodbye,

But as you always told us,

Our love will never die.

As the seasons change,

And time passes on,

Remember me with joyfulness,

And our unbreakable bond.
