Stephanie grew up on her father’s farm with two sisters in Poultney, VT. She attended Poultney High School and graduated as valedictorian of her class. Following high school, she graduated from Becker Junior College and began working at GE as an executive assistant. She met the love of her life, LeRoy J. She also enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, crocheting, and tending to her many thriving plants. Stephanie and Roy retired in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, and were very active members of the congregation at St. Peter’s by the Sea Presbyterian Church in Palos Verdes, CA.

Upon Roy’s death in 2011, Stephanie moved to the Deerfield Retirement Community in Asheville, NC, to be near her youngest daughter, Nancy, and her three grandchildren. Stephanie enjoyed many close friendships at Deerfield and was active in editing the community’s newspaper, working on flower arrangements, attending local symphony concerts and meeting with her Tuesday night girls group for drinks.
